Computerized CPA Exam hits the 'on' button.


The new computerized CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  Exam format went live April 5, the culmination of more than three years of work by the AICPA AICPA

The new format offers several upgrades over the paper and pencil format. Candidates now are able to take the exam most days of the week, for eight months out of the year.

The exam's content has been updated, with 20 percent of the new test focusing on simulations, or case studies. The new format features the option to return to questions, use a calculator and access AICPA databases.

But all of this modernization modernization

Transformation of a society from a rural and agrarian condition to a secular, urban, and industrial one. It is closely linked with industrialization. As societies modernize, the individual becomes increasingly important, gradually replacing the family,
 comes with a price. The cost to take the test is $600--a $350 price jump from the paper exam.
