ComputerPREP Courses Receive College Credit Recommendation from the American Council on Education.


PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1999--

ComputerPREP, one of the world's largest providers of learning and technology solutions, announced that 19 of its semester-length courses were recognized by the American Council American Council may refer to:

ACE is recommending college credit for the courses in the areas of computer information systems, management information systems, computer science, and telecommunications.

Curricula reviewed by ACE include basic, intermediate and advanced courses on Office 95 and Office 97, Office 98 Learning Suite, A+(TM) Certification, Network+(TM) Certification, Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). Available in separate client and server versions, it includes built-in networking and preemptive multitasking.  4.0 domains, and eight Certified Internet Webmaster See CIW.  programs.

 and course materials for review. ACE subject matter experts then evaluate the submissions to determine whether a course warrants ACE CREDIT recommendations and if so, the subject area and number of credits that may be awarded.

The group also determines the level of credit awarded -- upper or lower division, or vocational certification.

All 19 courses submitted by ComputerPREP were recommended for college credit in lower division baccalaureate/associate degree programs. Six of these courses were also recommended for upper division baccalaureate curriculum. Three were recommended for vocational certification.
