Computer specialist makes smart move.

A WEST Midland IT specialist is defying the economic doom and gloom with a move to a new base in the heart of Wolverhampton.

Allcomm Communications, which celebrates its 15th birthday in 2009, has taken more than 3,000sqft of office space at the Chubb Building as part of an expansion plan that will see the firm aim to double turnover within two years.

The company has enjoyed steady growth over the past year, diversifying its client base to include professional services firms, manufacturers and public sector contracts with organisations such as Stourbridge College of Further Education and Bolton City Council.

"The marketplace is tough, but we've been able to win new business through our flexible approach to customer requirements and innovative solutions to broadband provision, telephony, networking and IT support," said Steve Burgwin, co-founder and joint managing director. Our previous offices in Compton Road were not suitable for the next stage of our growth and, in order to centralise our network infrastructure, we needed to find new premises that will be our home for the next 15 years.
