For composers with little or no understanding of music notation, Bennett explains how to use computer technology for orchestrating pieces of music. He discusses the equipment and software needed, and explains MIDI, the orchestral instruments and when they are used, the basics of orchestration, using a sequencer, mixing, and creating and editing a score. He does not go into detail about specific software.
