Computer Learning Centers Appoints John L. Corse Chief Executive Officer.

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2000

Computer Learning Centers, Inc. (Nasdaq National Market: CLCX) (&uot;CLC&uot;) today announced the appointment of John L. Corse to the position of Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Reid R. Bechtle, who has resigned from CLC but will remain with the Company as a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Corse, 58, has served as CLC's President and Chief Operating Officer since November 1998 and will continue to serve in these capacities. Since joining CLC, he has utilized his 30 years of executive management experience to significantly strengthen CLC's compliance, admissions and operating strategies and procedures. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Corse served as President of Hughes Advanced Systems, a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft Company and a provider of aerospace and information systems and services to government and industry. Previous to this, he was President of Security Software America, a packaged software publisher that served government contractors and agencies in the administrative control of classified material and related security activities.
