Computer Language Research, Inc. announces the acquisition of the assets of Crystal Solutions, LLC by its Rent Roll Subsidiary.

CARROLLTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 1996--Computer Language Research, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: CLRI), announced the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Crystal Solutions, LLC by its wholly-owned Rent Roll, Inc. subsidiary which sells residential property management software and services to the apartment housing market.

The Company paid an undisclosed amount in cash for substantially all of the assets of Crystal Solutions and entered into an employment agreement with its president and non-compete agreements with the selling members of the LLC. The acquisition is expected to have an immaterial impact on current year earnings.

Crystal Solutions has developed and is in the initial stages of marketing an innovative bar code scanning and information processing technology for apartment communities. The system catalogs and tracks apartment assets and monitors and reports all maintenance tasks performed at an apartment site. Crystal Solutions' products will be integrated with Rent Roll's existing facility management system to create the industry's most comprehensive asset management and maintenance work order system.
