Computer Intelligence acquires consumer research firm Trendata.

CI's CTI study is the largest, most comprehensive research effort focusing on personal computer usage in the United States. Annually, an initial screening of 50,000 individuals has identified PC users in home, workplace and self-employed markets. Final survey results are based on a detailed 12-page written questionnaire, mailed each year to 17,500 U.S. PC users.

Trendata, through a network of 450 interviewers, conducts telephone surveys of 50,000 different households ten days after the end of every quarter, and delivers its paper-based Trendata Reports to clients four weeks after the quarter's close. Trendata's rigorous methodology yields data on 200,000 separate households per year, and its results are statistically projectable to all United States households.

In addition to CTI, CI maintains extensive technology databases of the supply side, the demand side and all levels of channel activity in the computer and communications industry. CI's respected industry analysts offer fact-based analysis that helps customers better understand market trends and conditions.
