Solutions Company Provides Year 2000 Expertise to the

Insurance and Financial Services Leader

Computer Horizons Corp. announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Prudential Insurance Company of America. Under the terms of the contract, Computer Horizons will assist Prudential with its company-wide Year 2000 Program Office over the life of this multi-year project.

The Year 2000 challenge affects every industry, company and government worldwide. The typical large company or government agency has millions of lines of code written in multiple languages and running on a variety of platforms. Since all of the code must be able to correctly deal with the change of century, large-scale, multi-year projects must be initiated to achieve Year 2000 compliance.

This contract is a continuation of Computer Horizons' previous Year 2000 work with Prudential. Computer Horizons was selected by Prudential at the start of the Year 2000 effort to perform a company-wide Year 2000 assessment of Prudential's mission-critical applications. Computer Horizons' work on the assessment helped lead to the new contract.
