Computer Horizons Awarded $3 M Development Contract by the American Federation of Musicians and Employers' Pension Fund.

Computer Horizons Corp. (Nasdaq: CHRZ), a professional services and human capital management company, today announced that it has been awarded a $3 million contract by the American Federation of Musicians and Employers' Pension Fund to develop an upgrade to the Fund's pension processing system.

CHC will also develop a web-ready application to help the Fund process pension requests, track contributions, calculate benefits, distribute payments, monitor activity and perform other pension-related functions. The Fund, based in New York City, is one of the largest pension funds in the entertainment industry, with over $1.5 billion in assets.

"By developing a fully integrated pension processing system, we can help the Fund office manage requests and contributions more easily." CHC has developed systems for insurance and financial service companies to enable faster response time and organizational efficiencies for administration.

The system architecture will be based on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and Microsoft Visual Basic .Net standards, incorporating advanced universal-client and N-tier application server-based technologies. The comprehensive, feature-rich design will also include the pension processing functions associated with Remittance Processing & Validation, Participant Data Management, Field Level Audit Trail, Context Sensitive Help, Research, Automated Work Flow Management, and Multi-Level Reporting.

CHC will utilize its "Timebox" approach as its application development methodology. Timeboxing segments the project work into highly prioritized components that produce project deliverables on regular intervals. By using the Timebox method, the Fund will be able to deploy individual modules of the system as required, without waiting for the entire system to be completely developed.
