Computer City opens first downtown location; Chicago SuperCenter becomes 105th store worldwide.


FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 1996--Computer City, one of the world's largest computer superstore retailers, is opening its first "downtown" location today in Chicago. The new 21,411-square-foot SuperCenter will provide all of the services of a typical Computer City store, with an additional focus on business, education and government accounts.
