Philippines, To Use CA-Fix/2000 To Correct Applications

Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) and Technology and Livelihood Resource Centre (TLRC) today announced a strategic partnership agreement to deliver advanced Year 2000 remediation solutions to clients in the Philippines. As CA's first Y2K factory remediation services provider in the Philippines, TLRC will use CA-Fix/2000 to provide automated remediation of COBOL applications.

Through the agreement, TLRC will be able to extend the benefits of CA-Fix/2000 to organizations that do not have the in-house resources available to perform code conversions themselves. A key component of CA's award-winning Discovery 2000 solution, CA-Fix 2000 is a mainframe-based, application-at-a-time, COBOL remediation tool that has already remediated millions of lines of code worldwide. CA-Fix/2000 clients have reported over 95 percent accuracy in finding and correcting application code.
