Acquisition Gives CA's Independent Banking Unit Powerful Solutions For Asset Liability and Treasury Management

The Banking Independent Business Unit (IBU) of Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) has acquired Bennett Management Services, Inc., a privately-held financial management company whose asset liability and treasury management software products are among the most widely respected in the industry.

The acquisition of Phoenix, Ariz.-based Bennett Management Services (Bennett) will allow CA to offer leading technology in the treasury and risk management areas of banking and financial services. The procurement of Bennett's technology, expertise, and software products also fuels CA's ongoing expansion into the client/server market.
