Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is sponsoring a private holiday toy drive today at FAO FAO,

 store to benefit abused, neglected, and homeless children under the care of Suffolk County's Department of Social Services.

CA will match, toy for toy, all purchases made by more than 300 leading CIOs and their spouses, industry analysts, and CA executives participating in the event.

The toys and other gifts will be given to the more than 700 homeless children, 800 foster children and 2,800 abused and neglected children served by Suffolk County's Social Services programs.

"It is due to the support and generosity of individuals and companies such as CA that we are able to make the holidays a special time for underprivileged children in our community," said John B. Wingate, Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Social Services. "Everyone contributing to this worthy cause will have a far-reaching effect on every child it touches."

Participants at the event are attending CA's Information Systems Executive Exchange in New York City. The three-day conference includes discussions on the most compelling business and technology issues facing organizations in today's global economy.

CA supports a wide range of organizations dedicated to children's welfare including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is a private, non-profit organization established in the United States in 1984 under United States government mandate. , Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Smile Train. In addition, CA matches 200 percent of employee donations to charities of their choice.
