Computer Associates Names Ira Zar Chief Financial Officer; Pete Schwartz To Retire After 11 Years in Post.

ISLANDIA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1998--Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE:CA) today announced that its Board of Directors has named Ira Zar, a 16-year employee, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Zar, 37, who has spent his entire business career with CA, most recently served as the Company's Treasurer. He succeeds Peter Schwartz, 54, who is retiring after 11 years as the company's CFO. Schwartz will remain with CA in an advisory capacity for an indefinite period.
