: CA) to significantly expand the availability of the association's vendor-neutral storage education, certification and training offerings to IT professionals throughout North America. CA is hosting the SNIA's educational offerings at its 17 training facilities starting in August while providing marketing support to promote these classes.

"Networked storage is a mission-critical technology within the IT infrastructure, housing an enterprise's core data assets, stimulating the demand for network storage-specific training, best practices, and certification," said Wayne M. Adams, chairman of the SNIA. "Computer Associates' selection of SNIA's training programs and services greatly broadens the accessibility of these robust offerings to technology professionals worldwide."

The SNIA education curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics designed to improve storage networking management and administration skills through better understanding of best practices. The courses that CA will be offering are based on SNIA's Job Task Analysis. The SNIA also offers several certifications, including SNIA Certified See certification.  Professional, SNIA Certified Engineer, SNIA Certified Architect and SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert.

"The more CA customers can expand their skills, the more value they can get out of our storage management solutions and technology from our strategic partners," said Jim Geronaitis, vice president of BrightStor storage management solutions at CA.
