Addressing the needs of remote, limited bandwidth and intermittently connected business users, Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) today announced a complete Enterprise/Remote Site Management (E/RSM) solution that extends Unicenter TNG's extensive management capabilities to encompass branch offices and retail store outlets. The announcement was made at the Retail Systems '98 Conference & Exposition in New Orleans.

By providing full support for all users and platforms, E/RSM is ideal for retail outlets, engineering field operations, mobile sales forces, remote offices, home users and business agents. It allows critical business information for sales, inventory, purchasing and operations to be consistently updated -- providing more effective business decisions and improved service times. IT organizations can easily integrate new capabilities, streamline business operations, and simplify remote management. E/RSM also significantly reduces the cost of IT operations by allowing such data collection and infrastructure management to be administered as part of enterprise Unicenter TNG implementations.
