Computer Associates Announces Global Channel Organization to Maximize Business Opportunities for All Channel Partners.

Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) today announced a new global channel organization designed to help worldwide business partners, distributors, resellers, OEMs and systems integrators capitalize on Cap´i`tal`ize on`

 the new business opportunities being created by CA. The expanded VARsity Program consolidates CA and Cheyenne partner programs into a single, worldwide marketing support organization.

Because the new channel organization reaches across all CA product lines, VARs can now attain higher discount levels by consolidating product orders -- thus increasing their profitability on CA products.

CA is further demonstrating its unmatched support for its channel distribution partners by making its new Workgroup Edition products available exclusively through them. Workgroup Edition products make CA's industry-leading information management and enterprise management technology available to smaller computing computing - computer  environments for the first time. This dramatic move will enable CA's channel partners to fully capitalize on the burgeoning demand for cost-effective management solutions in the small-to-midsize business market segment. The new global organization also incorporates an expanded Partner Referral Program, which allows CA to provide pre-screened leads and opportunities generated by far-reaching marketing efforts such as its award-winning multi-million dollar ad campaigns. The leads will be distributed to CA partners based on skills and areas of expertise.

In addition, the VARsity Program enables distributors and systems integrators to provide complete channel assemblies of IT solutions, including software, hardware and services -- allowing specialized software and hardware configurations to customers on a machine-by-machine basis.
