This resource for both general and special education teachers presents 25 lessons with accompanying step-by-step teaching scripts and problems, plus sets of cumulative review problems, a pretest assessment, a posttest assessment, and a teacher's answer key. The lessons rely on the concrete-to-representational-to-abstract (CRA) sequence, and are designed to be used with manipulatives in the CRA instructional approach. Easy-to-make manipulatives are briefly described and illustrated. Student worksheets are included for every lesson, including the cumulative reviews. The book can be used by elementary and middle school educators, special education teachers, tutors, and home school teachers. Riccomini teaches at Clemson University. Witzel teaches special education at Winthrop University.
