Compucare Announces More Affinity Sales.

RESTON, Va.--(BW HealthWire)--Aug. 22, 1997--The Compucare Company announced Friday that it signed Affinity(R) license agreements with five new hospital clients.

These recent contracts represent the latest hospitals to take advantage of Affinity's advanced technology solutions for the healthcare enterprise.

Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital and Clinics of Sauk Prairie/Prairie du Sac, Wis. recently purchased the AffinitySTAT(TM) System. In addition to Sauk Prairie, the following four clinics will be licensed through Sauk Prairie's purchase: Lodi Clinic, Lodi, Wis.; Black Earth Clinic, Black Earth, Wis.; River Valley Clinic, Spring Green, Wis.; and Plain Clinic, Plain, Wis.

Applications purchased include Patient Registration, Patient Accounting, Contract Management, Utilization Management, DRG/Case Mix, Medical Records Index, Medical Records Abstracting, Medical Records Control, Medication Charting, Order Control/Results Reporting, Charting & Assessments, Plan of Care, Patient Acuity/Staffing, Quality Management, Department Management, Radiology, Report Writer, System Management, and web-enabled Clinician Access.

SPMH will install Affinity on a Digital Alpha Server with Microsoft's Windows NT(TM) Operating System.

Kuakini Health System is the second health care enterprise in Honolulu to take advantage of Compucare's advanced application capabilities by purchasing the Affinity Healthcare Information System (HIS). Kuakini Health System is a multi-entity enterprise comprised of 154-bed Kuakini Medical Center and 183-bed Kuakini Geriatric Center.

KHS purchased a wide range of patient management, financial, and enterprise applications including: Central Business Office, Community Master Population Index, Patient Registration, Medical Record Index, Patient Accounting, DRG/Case Mix, Medical Records Abstracting, Medical Records Control, Quality Management, Utilization Management, Report Writer, System Management, GUI Client/Server, and SQL Connect.

Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Prineville, Ore., became the third affiliate of CONet, a network of seven independent hospitals in Central and Eastern Oregon, to license the Affinity HIS.

Their purchase included the following applications: Patient Registration, Medical Record Index, Medical Record Abstracting, DRG/Case Mix, Utilization Management, Contract Management, Patient Accounting, Order Control, Results Reporting, Radiology, Patient Scheduling, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll/Personnel, GUI/Client Server, System Management and SQL Connect.

Suburban General Hospital, a 209-bed facility in Pittsburgh is the second hospital in the Western Pennsylvania Healthcare System to purchase the Affinity HIS.

Their purchase included the following applications: Patient Registration, Patient Accounting, Contract Management, Central Business Office, Medical Records Index, Medical Records Abstracting, DRG/Case Mix, Utilization Management, Report Writer and System Management.
