CompuServe and MemberWare Technologies Inc to Offer Custom Internet Service to Association Members.
Initial Focus on Healthcare Associations Through Marketing to

CompuServe, a subsidiary of America Online, Inc. (NYSE: AOL) and the value leader in Internet access, and MemberWare Technologies Inc(R), a leading provider of Internet, intranet, electronic commerce, and document management solutions for associations, announced today a strategic partnership to launch co-branded Internet services specifically designed and customized for professional, non-profit, and trade associations and their members.
There are more than 143,000 professional, non-profit and trade associations in the United States and every 7 out of 10 adult Americans are members of an association. As associations begin to increasingly use the Internet to attract and retain members, publish association news and membership directories, and generally communicate with members, CompuServe's Custom Solutions division and MemberWare Technologies will create Internet services that will leverage CompuServe 2000 software and a soon-to-be launched MemberWare AssociationCentral.com Web site to serve this growing audience.
Under the terms of the agreement, CompuServe and MemberWare will jointly create and market a co-branded version of the CompuServe 2000 Internet software and service package designed specifically for MemberWare's association members. Initially, CompuServe and MemberWare will market the service to members of healthcare associations, including the International College of Surgeons, National League of Nursing, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and New Jersey Medical Association. Members who sign up will view a customized, co-branded CompuServe 2000 and AssociationCentral.com Main Menu, which will feature specialized content for association members and links to AssociationCentral.com. On the AssociationCentral.com site, members can link directly to their association's Web site, purchase or subscribe to association publications or journals, review their association's calendar of events, register for annual meetings, and participate in chat. As part of the customized Internet service, members can take advantage of CompuServe's powerful, yet easy-to-use e-mail features and content, including CompuServe's health Forums.
