CompuDyne Announces $17.4 Million of New Awards for September, 2006.

Institutional Security Systems ("ISS ISS

") reported awards of $9.1 million for the month. This total includes the $4.8 million Rikers Island award announced previously. It also includes a $1.6 million contract for the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation and a $1.2 million contract for electronics integration services for the Muscat Muscat, Maskat, or Masqat (all: mŭs`kăt, mŭs`kət), city (1993 pop. 533,774), capital of Oman, SE Arabia, on the Gulf of Oman. It is flanked by rugged mountains.  Central Prison in Sumail, Oman.

Public Safety & Justice had $4.4 million in selection awards and maintenance renewals.

Attack Protection had $1.2 million of awards.

Integrated Electronic Systems had $2.7 million in awards. This included $1.7 million of awards for its Signami/DCS signals intelligence business unit, which includes a previously announced $1.4 million order.

Awards for the third quarter exceeded awards for the entire first half of 2006. The expected projects "pipelines" at all of our businesses remain quite active.
