CompuCom Systems Appoints New CFO; Michael Simpson Joins Senior Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer.

DALLAS -- CompuCom Systems, Inc., a leading IT managed services provider, today announced the appointment of Michael Simpson as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Simpson has nearly 20 years of experience in financial management, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and transition and integration management. As CFO, he will be assuming responsibility for financial operations at CompuCom, a Platinum Equity company.

Prior to joining CompuCom, Mr. Simpson served as Vice President of Portfolio Operations at Platinum Equity, a global firm specializing in the merger, acquisition and operation of companies, and was responsible for transitioning newly acquired companies from a financial and operations perspective. Most recently within his role at Platinum Equity, he managed both the CompuCom and GE ITS acquisitions over the past 18 months. Mr. Simpson directed the transitional finance activities while moving the company from a public strategy to a private strategy focusing on EBITDA and margin improvement. Previously, Mr. Simpson served as Chief Financial Officer for Billing Concepts, a Platinum Equity company, based in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, he served as the Vice President of Finance for HBS Billing Services, LTD., as well as functioned in several accounting capacities with leading firms such as KPMG Peat Marwick, L.L.C., Gene Brehm & Company, L.L.C. and Wolfe & Company, L.L.C.
