CompuCom Completes Merger with Affiliate of Platinum Equity.

) today announced that it has been acquired by an affiliate of Platinum Equity Platinum Equity is an American information technology and private equity firm. It was founded by billionaire Tom Gores in 1995 and is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. , a global investment firm specializing in the acquisition and operation of mission-critical solutions and services companies. CompuCom's stockholders approved the proposed merger at CompuCom's stockholder meeting held on September 9, 2004.

As a result of the merger each outstanding share of CompuCom common stock has been converted into the right to receive a cash payment of $4.60 per share in cash. Stockholders will receive instructions by mail from the exchange agent, Mellon Investor Services LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.
