Compression molding. (Equipment).

An expanded line of compression and transfer molding Transfer molding, like compression molding, is a process where the amount of molding material (usually a thermoset plastic) is measured and inserted before the moulding takes place. The molding material is preheated and loaded into a chamber known as the pot.  presses is offered by the company. The presses are avail able in a full range of sizes up to 5,000 tons, and can be employed for the molding of thermosets thermosets, materials that can not be softened on heating. In thermosetting polymers, the polymer chains are joined (or cross-linked) by intermolecular bonding. Thermosets are usually supplied as partially polymerized or as monomer-polymer mixtures. , thermoplastics, BMC (BMC Software, Inc., Houston, TX, www.bmc.com) A leading supplier of software that supports and improves the availability, performance, and recovery of applications in complex computing environments. , SMC SMC Saint Mary's College

, composites and silicones. The presses can be designed as four-post, straight side, c frame models. Every press includes user-friendly computer controls that control and monitor all aspects of press function. The control systems are said to provide accurate and uniform cooling and heating up to 1,000[degrees]F. Pressing area and daylights are available according to production specifications, and both loading and unloading systems can be designed into each press as required. Vacuum enclosures engineered to solve specific production problems are available. (Technical Machine Products)
