The site gives consumers a resource for making informed decisions about their health care providers. Through easy access to a comprehensive database, individuals can now have objective information on more than 650,000 medical doctors and doctors of osteopathy.

More importantly, SearchPointe provides information on each doctor's license (active and inactive), board certification and, perhaps most critical, any sanction and disciplinary actions in the database. In addition, consumers will have the opportunity to enact an alert service that will automatically notify them if there is a change in the doctor's license or sanction status.
