NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--June 3, 2002

Court TV will provide extensive live coverage of the David Westerfield David Alan Westerfield (born February 25, 1952),[1] of San Diego, California was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder and kidnapping of seven-year-old Danielle Van Dam in 2002.  trial in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay.  scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 4.

Court TV viewers on Cox and Time Warner systems will see the trial live from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. Pacific Time daily, complete with expert guests, anchor commentary and reporting by Beth Karas Beth Karas is a Senior Reporter with Court TV, providing commentary on a number of high-profile cases, including the rape trial of Kobe Bryant, the Martha Stewart trial, and the murder trials of Robert Blake and Scott Peterson. In addition, a special edition of Catherine Crier Catherine Jean Crier (born November 6, 1954) was an American television anchor for the Court TV program, Catherine Crier Live, a daily show concerning legal news stories. The show was cancelled on April 27, 2007, after a seven-year run.  Live, dedicated to Westerfield coverage, will be seen from 2:00-3:00p.m. on the West Coast.
