VIENNA, Va. -- Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), a nationwide workforce health company, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide onsite health services for Nissan North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  at four locations.

CHS, who competed against six national occupational health and wellness firms to win the Nissan contract, will provide site-specific medical services including onsite physician services, wellness and health promotion programs, rehabilitation, and case management programs to Nissan's employees at its onsite clinics located in Smyrna, Tenn.; Decherd, Tenn.; Canton, Miss.; and the new North American North American

At each Nissan location, CHS will begin with an analytical framework to customize the onsite programs, precisely matching needs with personnel. This in-depth analysis of Nissan's workforce needs will enable CHS to make every onsite unit an ideal strategic fit from a business perspective. Onsite staff will then consist of tailor-made comprehensive medical teams of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, case managers, physical and occupational therapists, and other workforce health professionals. Each medical team will manage quality control, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide a convenient workforce health solution for Nissan employees.

CHS will provide evidence-based best practices and regulatory compliance in key areas such as medical treatment for both work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, preventive care Preventive care is a set of measures taken in advance of symptoms to prevent illness or injury. The Smyrna facility, which employs 7,000, has the capacity to produce 550,000 vehicles per year. The Canton location has 4,300 employees and an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicles. The Decherd facility employs approximately 1,400 employees. In the summer of 2006 Nissan North America relocated its corporate headquarters from Gardena, Calif., to the greater Nashville area. Construction of its new headquarters in Franklin, Tenn., will be completed in mid-2008.
