Comprehensive Care Corp. Reports That it is Not Selected as Winning Bidder for Managed Care Contract in Argentina.

) Friday announced that it was informed by the Argentinean agency responsible for the awarding of the previously announced managed care contract for overall medical services for that country's senior citizens, that the company was not selected as one of the winning bidders.

However, the company is evaluating an opportunity to submit a bid to provide specific behavioral healthcare services to the country's senior citizen population.

Chriss Street, chairman of Comprehensive Care, stated: "Clearly, we are disappointed that CompCare was not selected to participate in this first round of Argentina managed care contracts. Nonetheless, we are exploring and carefully considering other opportunities which are emerging as a direct result of the massive changes occurring in Argentina's healthcare system."

Comprehensive Care, based in Tampa, administers and operates behavioral healthcare programs for government agencies and managed care organizations. The company currently has contracts covering approximately 1.5 million healthcare organization members and Medicaid recipients, and has a network of approximately 15,000 practitioners.
