Comprehensive Behavioral Care Expands Southeast Region Operations Into Georgia.

 BB:CHCR CHCR Center for Health Care Rights ), Monday announced that it is expanding its Southeast Region operations into Georgia.

Effective Aug. 1, CompCare is partnering with Grady Health Care Plan, an Atlanta-based health maintenance organization, to provide inpatient mental health care services for approximately 23,000 Medicaid beneficiaries in Atlanta and surrounding counties.

The new contract boosts CompCare's regional operations in the Southeast. The company's Southeast Region office already provides managed behavioral health Behavioral health was first used in the 1980's to name the combination of the fields mental health and substance abuse. As an example, an organization serving both mental health and substance abuse clients might refer to its practice as behavioral health or  services to approximately 230,000 Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries, as well as commercial members, in Florida.
