Here is a snapshot of the Web site's key areas:

Members: A complete list of all WCMA members is included, with contact information. Each member company is hyperlinked from the WCMA site to its home page.

Publications: information on several WCMA publications is listed in this section, including: WCMA Rules & Specifications for Dimension & Woodwork, Wood Components Buyers's Guide, Make vs. Buy Study, and our Moisture and Wood video. Ordering instructions are provided on the site.

Source Guide: Visitors to our Web site are able to identify companies which have the production capabilities to produce the wood parts they need. The Web site includes an interactive database that allows dimension and component buyers to search for manufacturers of specific wood component products.

The searchable database used for this Source Guide features three search categories: Products Required, Machining and Species. Drop boxes allow a buyer to select criteria for the product he needs from the categories. Once a buyer has defined the parameters of his search, a list of suppliers who can produce that product is generated, complete with contact information.

On this screen, there is also a "more info" button for each member company. By clicking the button, the buyer accesses a page that features additional product and contact information on the selected member company, including a link to its Web site.

Calendar: Upcoming WCMA activities and important industry events are listed.

Membership Benefits: If you produce dimension or wood components, you can find out why you should be a WCMA member by visiting this section. A list of the major promotional, educational and research activities are included, along with other important member benefits.

NewsFlash: The NewsFlash section includes interesting articles, speeches, press releases and more features of interest to wood component manufacturers and end users.

Technology Partners: WCMA Technology Partners, including manufacturers and suppliers of woodworking machinery, equipment, software, tooling and more, are highlighted in this section. Complete contact information is included, along with a link to each company's Web site.
