Through its subsidiaries including Bell Canada, Bell Aliant, Northwestel, Télébec, and NorthernTel, it is the incumbent local exchange carrier for  to provide its local search service, redToronto.com, free-of-charge to consumers using Bell's Internet kiosks throughout the Greater Toronto Area The Greater Toronto Area (widely abbreviated as the GTA) is the most populous metropolitan area in Canada. redCity search engines scan only Toronto websites to ensure local results. A key feature is its neighbourhood sort function, which enables visitors to search and sort results by distance, from any location on a GTA map. With free access to the search engine, visitors and residents alike can log on to redToronto.com through any Bell-operated kiosk kiosk
