Trusted Edge Inc., a provider of retention management and compliance software, has formed a partnership with Mackin Imaging Systems Corp., one of the largest distributors of document management software in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. . Mackin Imaging will incorporate Trusted Edge's RM Edge[TM] solution, which enables companies to proactively improve compliance company-wide by enforcing their document and email retention policies at the desktop level. The addition will be part of Mackin's larger suite of products, including Documentum's ApplicationXtender.

"The addition of Trusted Edge's product to our suite will allow our customers to extend their document management and retention policies to include all documents and all emails on the desktop," said Ed Mackin Sr., president of Mackin Imaging Systems, in an announcement.

RM Edge automates the retention and disposal of unstructured information--such as critical records, intellectual property and other digital assets--that have been under the control of employees on their desktops, where 80 percent of corporate information is created and used.
