Along with eCapture Version 3.1, a new server program called ecCommit Server can be purchased separately. ecCommit Server is used in high volume environments to off-load the document archiving process from the indexing workstations. ecCommit Server's built-in scheduler can be used to schedule the committing of batches during non-business hours to reduce network traffic. In case of a system failure, ecCommit Server can alert a system administrator via email.
