Competitive Angst. (Whispers).


A mean, competitive twist has surfaced from the lawsuits involving four Little Rock area real estate firms and a title company.

Somebody, or should we say, some company has unleashed an anonymous, anti-marketing campaign against the various firms.

We understand that clients of the companies received photocopies of an Arkansas Business article covering the controversy with the name of the appropriate company highlighted.

That's not nice.

Using our publication as a part of such a mass marketing effort also violates copyright laws.

That's illegal.

The folks at the Little Rock law firm of Cauley Geller Bowman & Coates, which filed all the lawsuits, were surprised to learn of the mailing and said they didn't have anything to do with it.

The separate complaints all revolve around Verb 1. revolve around - center upon; "Her entire attention centered on her children"; "Our day revolved around our work"

 the companies and their business relationship with Stewart Title of Arkansas, also a defendant.

Would a local real estate company try to scare customers away from competitors in hopes of landing some of the business?
