Produced by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, this is an annual directory that lists titles and addresses for competent national authorities empowered to issue certificates and authorizations for the import and export of narcotic and psychotropic drugs in accordance the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 and the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971, competent national authorities empowered to regulate or enforce national controls over precursors and essential chemicals in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, and competent international bodies that might assist national authorities in case no national authority is listed for a give country or area or in case contact cannot be established with the listed authorities. Titles and addresses are given in English, French, and Spanish and are listed in English alphabetical order according to country and area. Telephone numbers, telefax numbers, and email addresses are included where available.
