Compellent Names Jack Judd as Chief Financial Officer.


MINNEAPOLIS -- Senior Executive Brings Growth Management and Finance Experience to Emerging Leader in Innovative Midrange Data Storage Solutions

Compellent Technologies, a provider of affordable and modular enterprise storage solutions, today announced the appointment of Jack Judd as its chief financial officer (CFO See Chief Financial Officer. ). Judd brings more than 20 years of finance and management experience to the company.

In his new role, Judd will be responsible for managing Compellent's financial strategies. The appointment comes at a time of significant growth for the company as it continues to acquire new business partners and meet domestic and international demand for its award-winning storage area network, Storage Center(R).

"Jack's financial knowledge and expertise in high-growth business environments and the public markets will serve as a significant asset for Compellent and its senior management team in building our continued success. We welcome him on board," said Phil Soran, chief executive officer of Compellent.

Prior to joining Compellent, Judd served as CFO for ATS, a medical device manufacturer, leading the company through a period of accelerated growth and raising capital through equity and debt. Judd also held the position of controller for American Medical Systems, another high-growth medical device manufacturer, where he played a key role in the company's successful initial public offering and follow-on offering Follow-On Offering

This sometimes means the company is strapped for cash. So they need to issue more shares to pay bills or finance a new project.
. Additionally, Judd has held a variety of sales operations and finance management positions, including CFO within the Autoglass division of Apogee Enterprises, a glass technology company.
