Determining Hardware Requirements for SQL Server isn't easy. That's why Charles Hawkins, a SQL Server expert and Compass Technology Management employee, wrote about it.

Mr. Hawkins recently contributed a chapter to the book "Professional SQL Server Database Design" written and edited by Louis Davidson and published by WROX Press. Mr. Hawkins is a Senior Database Consultant with Compass. Hawkins has been employed with Compass Technology Management since 1999.

Hawkins, an engineering graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, at Troy, N.Y.; coeducational; founded and opened 1824 as Rensselaer School; chartered 1826. Mr. Hawkins has engaged in several MS SQL presentations including the Inaugural Professional Association for SQL Server The Professional Association for SQL Server, also known as PASS, is the global community for Microsoft SQL Server professionals. PASS was founded in 1999 with funds from Microsoft and Computer Associates. There are currently about 100 local PASS Chapters.  (PASS) 1999 conference in Chicago and the European PASS conference in London in 2000. Hawkins will make a presentation on "Performance Testing SQL Server Databases" at the PASS 2001 conference in Orlando in September.
