Compass Group Embraces Web-Enabled Business Applications from Radiant Systems.

Acceptance of the Radiant Systems' Offering

Radiant Systems (NASDAQ:RADS) announced today that the North American subsidiary of Compass Group PLC (London: CPG.L), the world's largest food service company, has made a five-year commitment to Radiant Systems' Web-enabled management software. The terms of the arrangement call for Compass Group North America to use the software in a minimum of 2,000 sites with implementation expected to commence later this year. In addition, Compass will execute all in-store purchasing for these sites through Radiant Systems' online digital marketplace solution.

The electronic business applications and the digital marketplace capabilities that will be implemented for Compass fall under the range of solutions covered by Radiant Systems' marketing and product development arrangement with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT). "By utilizing Microsoft's Windows DNA platform to meet demanding integration and scalability requirements and Radiant's deep industry knowledge, Compass will be able to leverage an ideal and innovative retail solution for competitive performance in the business-to-business marketplace," said Rebecca Kaske, Director of B2B and Retail for Microsoft Corp.

Wave(TM), Radiant's Web-enabled, centrally hosted management software, is the enterprise-wide platform that will serve as a single point of access for retail business applications and intelligence for Compass.
