Compass CEO Jim Funari Appointed to Governor's ''Main Street to e-Street'' Task Force.

CHESAPEAKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2001

Jim Funari, Compass president and chief executive officer, has agreed to serve on the Commonwealth Task Force that will help ensure all Virginia businesses can embrace the benefits of Internet technologies.

The Main Street to e-Street Task Force will operate for a 12-month period on behalf of the Governor's Commission on Information Technology.

The Task Force's mission is to recommend strategies for small and medium businesses as they incorporate e-commerce and other Internet technologies into their business plans. The group will develop recommendations and action plans in the areas of Internet awareness, access, applications and technology that will help Virginia businesses determine their individual Internet plans.
