Comparison study of the sun at various frequencies.

Four different radio telescopes This is a list of radio telescopes that are or have been used for radio astronomy. It includes both single dishes and interferometer arrays. They are listed by region, then by name; unnamed telescopes are in reverse size order at the end of the lists.  and two x-ray telescopes were used to collect solar data. The data was analyzed an·a·lyze

by comparisons of a series of graphs from each telescope telescope, traditionally, a system of lenses, mirrors, or both, used to gather light from a distant object and form an image of it. Traditional optical telescopes, which are the subject of this article, also are used to magnify objects on earth and in astronomy; . The main objective was to compare the data from the four different telescopes (and five different wavelengths) and look for correlations in the graphs of solar activity. If a spike occurred on the graph of more than one telescope, it could be assumed that a solar flare solar flare

Sudden intense brightening of a small part of the Sun's surface, often near a sunspot group. Flares develop in a few minutes and may last several hours, releasing intense X rays and streams of energetic particles.
had taken place. This could be confirmed by checking the solar activity levels at www.spaceweather.com. The optical image of the sun for that day could also be referenced.
