) -- the world's leading server vendor -- today announced that it has reduced U.S. prices up to 19 percent on select Compaq ProSignia and Compaq ProLiant Pentium-based servers and up to 29 percent on select server option products.

Through these price reductions, Compaq is passing on savings realized from lower component costs and is delivering unprecedented value to customers at the workgroup, remote/branch office and enterprise levels. These price reductions took effect on August 19 in the U.S. only.
