Compaq is designated by Microsoft as the lead system partner for Windows 95, which illustrates the committed, ongoing partnership between the two companies to jointly develop and offer products that provide the best value and performance available in today's PC environment. Compaq will display a number of products running Windows 95 in its PC Expo booth. The Windows 95 displays will allow attendees to view firsthand the compatibility and quality of Compaq and Microsoft products. Windows 95, which is slated to be released later this year, enhances the performance of Compaq products and makes them easier to use, more powerful, and more enjoyable.

Several Compaq desktop PCs will be shown with Windows 95 to illustrate the powerful 32-bit preemptive multitasking features and the benefits of the new intuitive interface.

In addition to Compaq's full line of desktop, notebook and server products being displayed throughout the booth, Compaq will also showcase several leading-edge technology demonstrations and new products.

The Compaq LTE Elite high-performance notebooks will be used to demonstrate the effortless docking abilities of the notebook PC with the SmartStation desktop expansion base, providing true Plug and Play functionality.
