Compaq Selects Visto as Partner for Co-Branded Service; Visto, Compaq Team to Distribute Web-Based Remote Access to Small and Medium Business Customers.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1998--Visto Corporation today announced that it will join with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ) to provide small and medium businesses with convenient Web-based access to the information on their office computers they need to run their businesses, including e-mail, calendars, files and more.

Under the relationship, Compaq will distribute a version of the Visto Briefcase(TM) service branded as the Compaq online.briefcase powered by Visto. The new service will be part of the Compaq Online Services announced today at PC Expo in New York.
