Compaq's Expertise in Working with PeopleSoft

With an established base of mutual customers, Compaq and PeopleSoft are well positioned to work together to take advantage of the dramatic growth in demand for PeopleSoft applications on Compaq servers. Compaq is working with PeopleSoft to expand the companies' expertise in system sizing, configuration, prerequisite identification and proof of concept testing Concept testing is the process of using quantitative methods and qualitative methods to evaluate consumer response to a product idea prior to the introduction of a product to the market.  of PeopleSoft applications running Windows NT on Compaq ProLiant 7000 and Compaq ProLiant 6500 servers. Compaq plans to make this information more readily available to mutual Compaq/PeopleSoft customers by opening Compaq/PeopleSoft Competence Centers for each other's field personnel and partners to conduct customer demonstrations, perform proof-of-concept testing and obtain advanced technical support. Compaq and PeopleSoft will also engage in joint pre- and post-sales support activities.

Compaq Servers Optimized for PeopleSoft Select

Customers can determine whether to use either Compaq ProLiant 7000 or Compaq ProLiant 6500 servers as part of the PeopleSoft Select product offering to build solutions with Microsoft or Oracle database platforms. Compaq ProLiant servers are the ideal hardware platform for deploying PeopleSoft Select applications on Windows NT because of their unmatched price/performance and high availability features.
