Compaq Enhances Enterprise Partner Program for R/3 Systems Integrators, Consultants and Service Providers; R/3 Partner Program Provides Broad Support for Delivering Compaq and Windows NT-based Solutions.

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 26, 1996--Further demonstrating its market leadership and commitment to SAP's R/3 (TM) on Windows NT solutions, Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today announced an enhancement to the Compaq Enterprise Partner (CEP) Program in North America. The CEP Program for SAP's R/3 provides resellers, systems integrators, consultants and service providers with the training, tools and resources to optimize and integrate R/3 solutions for Compaq servers and Microsoft Windows NT, and to meet customers needs for faster implementation of R/3. Compaq made the announcement today at SAPPHIRE (R) 96, SAP's annual North American user conference.

Compaq also announced today that it is offering a major new service and support program for R/3 customers (see related Compaq release).

The CEP Program for SAP's R/3 is open to qualified resellers, systems integrators, consultants, training organizations, and service and support providers. The program was created to provide Compaq partners with the resources they need to generate new revenue opportunities in the R/3 market, accelerate R/3 implementation times and deliver R/3 solutions that are optimized and integrated for Compaq platforms and Windows NT. Compaq partners will benefit from joint marketing initiatives, preferred partner pricing on selected Compaq hardware, and regular technology briefings. Program participants will also have access to a variety of Compaq support facilities such as the Compaq SAP Competency Center and LAN test facilities.
