 family of products. The Compaq C-Series 2010c and 2015c handheld PCs, previously priced at $799(a), are now available in the U.S. for an estimated selling price of $699(a). The estimated selling price of the Compaq C-Series 810 was reduced 14 percent, from $499(a) to $425(a).

Compaq also announced a new battery charger option for the Compaq C-Series 2010c and 2015c products, delivering increased productivity for the mobile user. The new battery charger is capable of charging two batteries at once, and comes equipped with an additional NiMH battery. The battery charger will be available for $99(a) worldwide starting in November.

The Compaq C-Series handheld PCs will continue to support Microsoft's Windows CE (Windows Consumer Electronics) Microsoft's version of Windows for handheld devices and embedded systems that use x86, ARM, MIPS and SHx CPUs. Windows CE .NET superseded Windows CE 3.0.  2.0 and future upgrades of the operating system operating system (OS)
