Under the agreement, Compaq and INS intend to jointly develop and deliver web-based, turnkey network and systems management solutions that provide superior functionality, greater ease-of-implementation and administration, and lower total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) for distributed computing environments. The experience INS has in complex networks and deployment of electronic service solutions therefore will be leveraged along with Compaq expertise in distributed-computing technologies to create unique management solutions that can be delivered to Compaq customers through its channel partners. By leveraging the power of its channel partners, Compaq plans to make these solutions available to the broadest possible range of enterprise customers.
