Company says that the Cool Keg system will keep draft cold for 12 hours.

The CoolKeg is a development of the Cool-System Bev. GmbH. The manufacturer says the system will maintain keg temperature of 6-degrees to 8-degrees Celsius for at least 12 hours.

The CoolKeg system includes a CoolKeg Charger and the CoolKeg Sleever in order to regenerate the keg after one cooling process and to renew the keg labeling.

According to the company, the essence of the cooling technique is the Zeolite/Water-Vacuum Adsorption Technology. Zeolite is a non-toxic mineral that exists in nature. In dry conditions it adsorbs large quantities of water. Under vacuum the process makes it possible to produce ice.

The CoolKeg has three layers under vacuum conditions. In the innermost layer there is the beerbellow containing 5, 8, 10, 12.5, 15 or 20 liters of beer. In the middle layer, there is an adhesive fleece with water around the beerbellow.

The outer layer holds the Zeolite, and a metal sheet separates the vaporizing area from the Zeolite area.

When opening the valve, vapor from the water fleece flows out to the Zeolite. The water left in the fleece freezes immediately and chills the beer. The heated Zeolite causes the surface of the keg to warm.

After 30 to 45 minutes you can tap the first glasses of beer and, according to the company, the beer in the CoolKeg will keep its temperature of 6-degrees to 8-degrees Celsius for at least 12 hours.

According to Cool-System, it is possible to regenerate the cooling system in the CoolKeg indefinitely.
