A RECENT conference by the Road Safety Authority has found that company cars are 40% more likely to be involved in an accident than privately owned vehicles. The RSA has also revealed that a third of all road accidents involve people who use their car during working hours.

Around 100 people are killed each year driving work-related vehicles, over 30% of annual road deaths in Ireland Ireland, Irish Eire (âr`ə) [to it are related the poetic Erin and perhaps the Latin Hibernia], island, 32,598 sq mi (84,429 sq km), second largest of the British Isles. . The RSA has launched a new CD-ROM, available from rsa.ie, in response to the fact that almost half of Irish businesses do not have health and safety procedures in place regarding the use of vehicles during working hours.
