US Airways Investing In Customer Service US Airways last week said it is investing to improve customer service at airports, including hiring 1,000 airport personnel and upgrading checkin kiosks. US Airways is creating passenger operations control centers in Philadelphia, Charlotte, Boston and Washington, D.C., modeled on its Phoenix hub. The centers monitor incoming flights for passengers to facilitate connections or rebook re·book

US Airways nears decision on long-haul fleet. US Airways may announce new orders for jetliners at the Paris Air Show The Paris Air Show (Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, Paris-Le Bourget) is an international trade fair for the aerospace business. It is held at Le Bourget airport near Paris, France every odd year, alternating both with the Farnborough International  next month for its long-haul fleet. It plans to add three new long-haul destinations each year. Some observers expect US Airways to choose the Airbus A350 XWB XWB Extra Wide Body (Airbus) . May 17, 2007
